New Holstein Utilities Receives Safety Award

On May 17, 2019, at its 90th Annual Conference in Delavan, Wisconsin, the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) recognized member utilities for their proactive safety activities and effectiveness in completing duties and responsibilities.  Thirty-six of MEUW’s 79-member utilities were recognized for their safety achievements in 2018.  New Holstein Utilities was one of twenty-six utilities to receive the Gold Award, the highest award possible.

The utilities receive recognition for their dedication to employees’ on-the-job focus to follow safety rules, use of safe work practices, and continuous development of a safe work environment. The award also acknowledges the commitment of utility management and the governing boards to provide staff with the equipment they need to perform their jobs safely, as well as provide the appropriate training to maintain or improve their skills in utilizing safe work practices.

Thanks to our linemen for their dedication to safety and maintaining a safe work environment for themselves and our customers.  Members of our Electric Department field staff are Tom Pafford, Justin Schneider, Terry Erickson, Matt Kiecker and Klein Vogel.
