Public Power Week & Recycling Day

Event Date:
Tuesday - October 1, 2019 - 7am to 4pm

When: Tues. October 1, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: NHU Garage, 1918 Park Ave in New Holstein

What: Electronics, light bulbs(including incandescent, fluorescent, HID and LED lamps), ballasts, batteries (not car batteries), dehumidifiers, window air conditioners, dorm size refrigerators.

Why: NHU tries to be a steward of the environment. By recycling, we eliminate taking unnecessary waste to the landfill and re-use the materials that can be salvaged. Every product that is collected is recycled by our vendors. This prevents toxic heavy metals and other hazardous waste from finding their way into our local water resources.

Cost: You pay what our vendors charge NHU.

NHU will be celebrating Public Power Week, Sept. 30 - Oct. 4

Please stop in our office for refreshments an sign up for the opportunity to win New Holstein Chamber of Commerce $$.  We will also have tokens of appreciation available to those who stop by to pay their utility bill or just to say hello.

We will be holding our ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE.  Customers are encouraged to bring in unexpired, non-perishable food itmes or personal care products to the NHU office.  Students who bring in non-perishable food items or personal care products to our office or to their school during Public Power Week may also sign up for chances to win prizes.
